In Details
Morning
- 7:15 – 7:30: Our bus and tour guide picks you up from your hotel in the Hanoi Old Quarter.
- Start driving about 1,5 hours to Incense Village Quang Phu Cau, there, you can see the process that the artisans make the incense with beautiful color and dry them under the sun and making the best photos ever.
Note: If it rains you cannot see the incense so you will visit Bat Trang pottery village (45 minutes driving) instead with pottery workshop where the artisans produce ceramics products for domestic use and exporting. You also practice to make 1 sample with the instructor. - 11:15: Arrive at the famous Hanoi Train Street. Prepare to capture photos or videos of the train passing by this unique, narrow residential street. Afterward, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a nearby local restaurant.
Note: For half-day tour participants, the driver will take you back to your hotel after lunch.
Afternoon
Guest joining afternoon tour: Pickup around 12.15-12.30PM.
- Continue your journey at Hỏa Lò Prison (Maison Centrale or “Hanoi Hilton”). Learn about its somber history and the resilient spirit of Vietnamese revolutionaries and American POWs who were once held here.
- Then a visit to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, founded in the 11th century. Here, you’ll admire the beautiful Khue Van Pavilion and the Doctor’s Steles, learning more about Confucianism and the traditional Vietnamese education system.
- And the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (visit the outside of the mausoleum), the final resting place of Vietnam’s national hero. Afterward, stroll through the historic Ba Dinh Square, where President Ho Chi Minh declared Vietnam’s independence. Driving to West Lake to visit the most ancient pagoda Tran Quoc which was built in 528 to understand about Buddhism in Vietnam.
- Tour ends with special Egg coffee that you never try before.
- 17:30 Dropping you of at your hotels or meeting point. Trip ends.
